Innovate Tax enhances client support capabilities with launch of Cura platform

Innovate Tax today announces the launch of Cura, a purpose-built ticketing and task management platform designed to enhance client support across its tax technology solutions.

Cura has been designed as part of Innovate Tax’s broader strategy to improve how data is captured, managed, and processed across all areas of the business, supporting more consistent delivery and ultimately strengthening customer success.

Through Cura, all client support requests are captured in a centralised platform and managed in a consistent and controlled way, while still allowing flexibility in how clients choose to interact. Each issue is documented and resolved through a controlled workflow, with final resolutions recorded within Interrogate, Innovate Tax’s data management platform. This ensures that support outcomes are retained in a consistent format, creating a reusable knowledge base without exposing client-specific data.

By managing support data in this way, Innovate Tax is able to continuously improve its delivery model, enabling teams to identify similar issues more efficiently and apply proven resolutions where appropriate. It also creates a strong foundation for AI-driven capabilities, helping accelerate issue resolution and enhance client support over time.

By introducing a more connected and transparent approach to support workflows, Cura enables Innovate Tax teams to manage requests more effectively, ensuring faster response times, improved accuracy, and greater visibility for clients.

The platform uses guided workflows and pre-defined templates to ensure that all necessary information is obtained at the outset. This reduces the need for follow-up queries and enables support teams to resolve issues more efficiently.

Cura forms part of Innovate Tax’s wider platform strategy, where all applications are designed to operate within a connected ecosystem. This approach underpins the development of a broader Tax Control Framework, ensuring that data is managed consistently across all products within a single environment for both delivery and support.

By aligning Cura with Interrogate, Innovate Tax’s data management platform, support interactions become part of a broader connected data model. This enables full traceability from the source of an issue through to its resolution, creating a complete audit trail and strengthening the integrity of the overall delivery process.

Looking ahead, this architecture will enable support functionality to be embedded directly within client-facing applications. Users will be able to raise issues directly from the point of interaction, with tickets automatically pre-populated with relevant data and linked to the underlying records. This reduces effort for users, improves accuracy, and ensures that all activity remains digitally linked and traceable across the platform.

Andrew Bohnet, Founder and Managing Director at Innovate Tax, commented:

“Cura represents a significant step forward in how we manage and deliver support to our clients.

“By introducing a more controlled and transparent framework, we are able to improve both the speed and quality of our service. Importantly, it also strengthens our ability to provide a clear audit trail of all client interactions and activities.”

He added:

“While our products are highly robust, the vast majority of support requests are driven by how systems are used in practice. In many cases, what appears to be a client-specific issue is actually a pattern that has occurred before in a different context.

“By capturing and structuring this information consistently, we are able to build a knowledge base that allows us to identify and resolve similar issues much more efficiently. Importantly, when we start to see patterns emerge, we use that insight to improve our compliance tools, helping guide users away from common issues before they occur. This not only improves the user experience, but also reduces the time spent supporting clients over the long term.”

Andrew continued:

“Many tax technology solutions on the market today have been built through the integration of multiple acquired products, often connected through layers of APIs without a truly unified data model.

“Our approach has been fundamentally different. We design all of our applications as part of a modular platform, allowing us to evolve, enhance, or replace components without disrupting the overall architecture.

“At the core of this is a simple principle: before we use data, we ensure it is centralised, standardised, and structured. This is critical to building a true Tax Control Framework, where organisations can rely on the integrity, traceability, and consistency of their data.

“This allows us to maintain control, improve consistency, and create a platform that is not only scalable, but also capable of supporting the next generation of AI-driven tax solutions.”

Cura provides full visibility across all support activity, enabling teams to track progress, assign ownership, and prioritise tasks in real time. This reduces duplication of effort, ensures accountability, and supports more effective collaboration across departments.

More broadly, Cura forms part of Innovate Tax’s longer-term vision to create a fully integrated and productised Tax Control Framework, where all tax-related data, processes, support interactions, and operational activities are captured within a structured and connected platform environment.

By centralising and standardising this information, Innovate Tax is able to help clients build a continuously evolving AI-managed knowledge base around their tax operations, ensuring that valuable operational insight and historical support knowledge is retained, accessible, and reusable over time.

Innovate Tax believes this represents a significant step forward in how organisations manage tax-related data and processes, particularly in an environment where increasing regulatory complexity and the growing importance of AI are placing greater emphasis on the quality, structure, and traceability of data.

The platform also enhances governance by maintaining a complete, searchable record of all requests, updates, and resolutions. This creates a robust audit trail, supporting both internal controls and external compliance requirements.

From a technical perspective, Cura has been specifically designed to support context-aware workflows within the Innovate Tax ecosystem. This ensures that requests are precise, relevant, and actionable from the point of submission.

Nathan Farmer, Commercial Director at Innovate Tax, added:

“We are continually looking for ways to improve the experience we deliver to our clients, and Cura is a key part of that strategy.

“By investing in the right internal tools and processes, we can ensure that our teams are better equipped to manage complex requests, respond more quickly, and maintain the high standards of service our clients expect.”

Cura also integrates with internal time tracking processes, ensuring that work undertaken in support of clients is accurately recorded, further strengthening operational oversight.

By combining a simplified user experience with integrated workflow management, Cura enhances Innovate Tax’s ability to deliver high-quality, transparent, and efficient client support.

Importantly, by ensuring that all support interactions are captured in a consistent and controlled format, Cura contributes to Innovate Tax’s broader Tax Control Framework approach, where data is centralised, standardised, and structured to improve visibility, auditability, and long-term value.

This not only strengthens day-to-day support delivery, but also ensures that the data generated through client interactions can be used to continuously improve processes, optimise performance, and support future AI-driven capabilities across the platform.
