Here's how TaxMaster™ works to scrutinise, cleanse and replenish your tax master data

1. Audit

TRN supplier, customer and legal entity data is processed by our award-winning LimeLyte® Entity Manager application. It checks for data discrepancies and potential issues by checking for valid formatting and structure, before verifying directly with the respective tax authorities’ databases*, effectively revealing the gaps in your data.

Upon completion, you’ll get a full report with recommendations that breaks the data down into easy-to-understand classifications, and lets you know how healthy your master data is.

*Not all countries allow direct verification. Please enquire for full availability. 

2. Engage

We launch an automated, multi-stage outreach email campaign carefully designed to secure the data needed to fix your incomplete or incorrect records.

All your clients and/or suppliers will be contacted and invited to access our secure, user-friendly platform where they can confirm or update their records and master data.

Directly after the initial email send, you’ll also have a clearer view on how accurate your contact info is (via bounces and response rates).

You’ll get detailed in-progress and concluding reports showing the engagement rates of the campaign and impact to your data.

3. Enrich

A multi-channel research campaign is instigated to further enhance your master data set.

We utilise our own master database, online search portals, call centre resources to contact the customers and/or suppliers for whom you are still missing contact details.

You’ll get a report to highlight the effectiveness of the outreach programme and any remaining gaps in your master data.

Ultimate outreach data validation

Make it easy for your customers and suppliers to share, update or confirm their tax data with you, by inviting them to access a simple, user-friendly portal.

Each contact is sent an email containing a unique link which will take them to your company-branded portal and guide them through the required steps.

Reach your entire database at the click of a button. Our tailored outreach programme will ensure your contacts receive the right message at the right time to enable them to update their details for your records.

We’ll be able to see who has received, opened, read and even clicked the email link, and let you know if any of your email contact data receives a ‘bounce’ notification (which could mean that the address is invalid and should be updated).

Not only will your tax data gaps close, but you will also be able to qualify the accuracy of the contact information you hold on record.

Upon completion of your email outreach campaign, we’ll produce and share with you a report to provide you with an overview of its success.

Your report will show the reach, response and efficiency of your campaign – and, most importantly, how many gaps in your master data were filled.

This provides you with not only a record of the positive impact of this phase of your TaxMaster™ journey, but also an updated view of your data position and remaining challenges.

We can help you to enrich the quality of your data even further, by extending the communication methods we use to plug the gaps that have been identified.

Our dedicated Data Team uses a combination of direct outreach methods (via phone, SMS and even postal mail where appropriate), as well as AI-driven data capture to locate the missing information.

You’ll receive a full report, including import-ready data to update your own ERP at source.

Direct Calling

Direct outreach by phone is often the most effective way to attain the most accurate data. We’ll use the gap analysis to methodically call organisations on your behalf and locate missing data.

Artificial Intelligence

Our AI models have been developed to check a variety of sources for missing TRNs or address data, which are then hand-checked by our Data Team.

Database Recognition

Our powerful database contains a raft of publicly available tax data – including TRNs and addresses – that we can use to reconcile against your data gaps.

Can I mix and match TaxMaster™ options?

Absolutely – TaxMaster is flexibility itself! You can mix and match the different phases according to your needs, either as an encompassing organisational project, or as a segmented / staged approach.

As a general rule, TaxMaster can be delivered in the following configurations:

 

  • Audit > Engage
  • Audit > Engage > Enrich
  • Audit > Enrich
  • Engage > Enrich

Note: the Enrich phase requires data input from at least one previous phase (Audit or Engage)

What's the difference between Engage and Enrich?

Good question! Simply put:

 

Engage is about directing your clients, customers and suppliers to provide, confirm or update the information you have on file for them. In this phase, the most accurate and up-to-date data comes straight from the source, so it makes sense to encourage data exchange via this route first.

Enrich is best described as a power option, particularly useful if gaps remain after previous attempts to gather customer, client and supplier data. If information is proving hard to retrieve directly from your contacts, Enrich activities will seek to obtain tax registration data via other credible sources.

Does TaxMaster only work if I have your automation solution?

Not at all – TaxMaster is designed to take care of your tax data, whatever ERP or Finance system(s) you might use, irrespective of what tax determination system or engine you might have in place. Good eh?

Is TaxMaster a one-off or an ongoing service?

That depends entirely on your needs.

TaxMaster has been devised so that it works both as a data quality benchmarking service as well as a data governance function.

Your options include

  • Self management with LimeLyte® Entity Manager–  if you’re keen to keep on top of things on an ongoing basis, you can use the power of the application to enhance your team’s performance

 

  • As a Managed Service – it could be you simply don’t have the time to manage it yourself, so let us take care of it for you. We’ll regularly run your data through LimeLyte Entity Manager and let you know of any potential quality risks

 

  • Periodic project – if you’d prefer, you could use the suite of TaxMaster services at your discretion or on an agreed basis. Think of it as taking your car to get washed, the dog to the groomer’s, a good ol’ spring clean etc.

My organisation has a LOT of data, what's the best approach?

Don’t be daunted by the size of your data mountain, we’ve got you covered.

TaxMaster is completely scalable – whether you’re seeking to dip your toe in the water or go full throng on a massive data mission, you’re in control. For example, you could:

  • Put pedal to the metal – review all of your tax data, across your entire organisation as part of a single TaxMaster review

 

  • Go in waves – ease in, focusing on specific countries one at a time to make things more manageable

 

  • Get the best of both worlds – start with Audit or Engage before embarking upon Enrich

Is there a minimum / maximum amount of data needed?

When it comes to a max / min threshold for data, TaxMaster scales seamlessly in either direction.

That said, TaxMaster will be of most value to organisations with mid-to-large datasets, as this is where data accuracy is most likely to be affected, i.e., the more data you have, the more difficult it can be to manage, and therefore this is where TaxMaster can help the most.

Why can't I see the pricing information for TaxMaster?

We know – it can be frustrating when you can’t access the pricing information online, but there’s a good reason for this, promise!

The cost of TaxMaster depends on several elements:

  1. The phase (Audit, Engage, Enrich)
  2. The volume of data to be processed
  3. The territories in scope (number of geographies, availability of validation and verification)

And don’t forget, TaxMaster is meant to be flexible and can be configured to meet your needs. Whether you are opting for a single phase of the service, or a combination of two or three, your TaxMaster solution package will be unique to you – that’s the point!
