HR Business Partner (Talent Acquisition focus)

Reports to: Director of Operations
Responsibility: General HR business management, initially focused on talent acquisition across Innovate Tax international group companies

Innovate Tax is a leading and multi-award-winning global tax technology consultancy that have developed multiple products around indirect tax such as VAT and GST. We are head-quartered in the United Kingdom and established in the UAE, the United States, the Netherlands and in Vadodara, India.

 

Role Purpose

In light of our continued growth and success, we are now at a stage where we recognise the need for an experienced HRBP who will help us to drive our people agenda, which reflects our Vision for the future of Innovate Tax. We’re seeking an HR professional who will initially focus on Talent Acquisition, to create and then continually improve our talent acquisition/recruitment processes. Where the role goes next will pretty much be driven by you and your great ideas!

 

Key Duties

Talent Acquisition

  • Partner with hiring managers to understand their needs and define effective sourcing strategies
  • Proactively develop quality talent pipelines for business-critical job types, including permanent and temporary contracting roles, e.g. technology/project talent
  • Own the recruitment process for each role vacancy, i.e. CV and video screening, planning necessary interviews and assessments for successful applicants, provide constructive feedback to candidates, reference check, contracts etc.
  • Ensure a structured and smooth recruitment process for the hiring managers and candidates, keeping each party in the loop at every stage of the process
  • Ensure strong diversity and inclusion practices throughout our recruitment process, supporting and encouraging managers when needed
  • Understand the needs of the business, how it impacts the Talent/People function and vice versa

Generalist HR

  • Create and manage the relevant policies, ensuring these reflect our Core Values and People Plan
  • Work with the Company Directors to identify and embed our People Plan
  • Make the role into what you believe we need to achieve our Vision, not forgetting what is at the heart of our Company; our people

 

Person Specification

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to demonstrate that you:

  • have experience in managing all stages of the recruitment process, from advertisement to offer

  • are a self-starter with a hands-on attitude, confident working with stakeholders at all levels
  • are highly organised day to day, able to handle multiple tasks and projects at once, delivering on time to targets
  • are a strong influencer and able to think out of the box
  • don’t take your mistakes as failures but an opportunity to learn and be better at your role
  • act as an ambassador for our company values to external applicants
  • believe in teamwork and you see the value in asking questions

 

Qualifications

  • CIPD qualified or equivalent is highly desirable
